Dale Street School set to begin Global Giving Month

November is Global Giving month at Dale Street School. We are striving to put compassion into action. At an all-school assembly on Friday, November 1, students will learn about world hunger and poverty and about Coalition for Courage. Coalition for Courage helps needy children in Zimbabwe, primarily those who have lost one or both parents to HIV. This is Dale Street’s twelfth year of collecting donations for Coalition for Courage. In the past few years, we have raised about $10,000 each November through a coin game, general donations, and the sale of crafts. Sharing our abundance with those who have so much less is a very powerful expression of compassion, service, and generosity.

If you would like to send in a check to help with our fundraising for Coalition for Courage, please be aware that all donations are fully tax-deductible. Please make the check payable to Coalition for Courage. You will be able to get a tax receipt. Before making your donation, inquire at your workplace to see if your employer will be able to match your charitable contribution. Coalition for Courage is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Please email Ms. Sager, bsager@medfield.mec.edu, for the Federal ID number if your employer is able to match your contribution or if you have questions about making additional donations on behalf of your family. (There are individual academic sponsorship opportunities available through Coalition for Courage if any families are interested.)
