Are you a high school student looking to make an impact in your community?

The Foundation for MetroWest is delighted to launch our first Summer Institute for Youth Leadership, and applications are available now! Apply early as spots are limited! This two-day program is designed for high school students (rising freshman through seniors).

During the program, participants will learn about the importance of becoming actively involved in their own community, discover a keen awareness of their own potential, and develop the skills necessary to become successful leaders. Participants will learn how to evaluate local nonprofit organizations and work together to award a grant to the nonprofit of their choice. In addition to grantmaking and philanthropy education, guest speakers will attend each session to teach a variety of life skills, from creating a resume to balancing a checkbook, and learning to work effectively as a team.

We are offering 2 sessions this summer:

Session 1: Monday, June 30, 2014 –Tuesday, July 1, 2014

Session 2: Tuesday, July 22, 2014 – Wednesday, July 23, 2014

The cost to participate is $250 per session and includes lunch, t-shirts and all supplies needed. For more information and/or to apply, please contact Cori Kaufman at 508-647-2260 or ckaufman@foundationformetrowest.org
