Votes Needed for a Medfield Cause, National Day of Service and Remembrance

Here are five things to help inform your day.

1. Medfield's Vision and Voices is one of 16 community projects in the nation that is a finalist for a $500 grant. All it needs is some more friends! Please "like" the Medfield project on the Community Matters Facebook page. Click to "like" the Community Matters page, then vote for Medfield! Unlike a real election, people can vote once every day through Sept. 15.

2. All U.S. and state flags on state facilities will be lowered to half-staff on Wednesday as part of the National Day of Service and Remembrance, in observance of the people who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

3. Save the date: The first meeting of the Medfield High School's Parent Teacher Organization will be Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7: p.m. in the high school library. All MHS parents are encouraged to attend.

4. Fundraiser tonight at Subway: please treat yourself to a delicious Subway meal Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. and help support the Class of 2014 and their All Night Graduation Party! Last year's class raised more than $1,200 for the event that is the grand finale of the senior year. Enjoy a great meal for a great cause!

5. Today is Wii Wednesday at Medfield Public Library. Drop in any time after 2:30 p.m. and choose from the library's collection of Wii games. Snacks will be provided.
