1. "The Toadies of Town Hall" is one of the teams that will compete Nov. 15 at the Medfield Committee for Public Education Trivia Night, according to Selectman Osler 'Pete' Peterson, one of the team members. Other teams of four are encouraged to sign up, for this annual fundraiser for public education in town. "FORM A TEAM OF 4 ADULTS FROM YOUR BUSINESS, NEIGHBORHOOD, ORGANIZATION, PLAYGROUP, BOOK CLUB, ETC. SEE IF YOU'RE REALLY SMARTER THAN A 5TH GRADER! REGISTER ONLINE AT WWW.MEDFIELDCOALITION.ORG."

2. Commonwealth Magazine wrote recently of the state negotiations with Medfield public officials on the cleanup of the Medfield State Hospital. Read the full article here.

3. Volunteers are needed to help work on the grounds of the Lowell Mason House over the next two weekends. Weed-whacking, painting portions of the exterior and installing vinyl siding are among the tasks. See the announcement for more details.

4. In Case You Missed It: Buying off-season is one way to save money. Grills, summer patio furniture and other spring and summer furnishings are best bought now if saving is a goal.
