New Medfield Consignment Store Seeks Fall-Winter Consignments

Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. Park Street Consignments, at 36 Park St., posted an announcement this week seeking fall and winter clothing consignments. The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

2. Anton's Cleaners, on Main Street in Medfield, is participating in a winter coat drive. The effort begins on Oct. 14 and will run through Jan. 11. Corporate and school partners will collect the coats, then bring them to Anton's and other locations for cleaning. Last year, coats were distributed to several dozen agencies.

3. The Medfield Garden Club kicks off the 2013-14 season at 10 a.m. Wednesday with a talk by Dave Epstein, author of Gardens of New England, on caring for indoor plants. The meetings is at United Church of Christ on Main Street.

4. Mare Parker-O'Toole, the well-regarded adult services librarian of the Medfield Public Library, announced in a blog post Monday she will be leaving Medfield for the Earl Center for Learning and Innovation at Wheelock College in Boston.

5. Are you a writer interested in having collegial, helpful feedback? The Medfield Writers Group meets from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Medfield Public Library.
