Medfield Conservation Commission wants Followup on Previous Decisions

Here are five things to help inform your day.

1. The Medfield Conservation Commission agreed Thursday that it should, as a board, follow up on previous decisions enacting conservation restrictions, to make sure that properties are complying with the requirements. The board didn't vote, but generally agreed its members would try to check on a site each week.

2. Medfield Selectman Osler "Pete" Peterson will hold open office hours from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the Center.

3. According to a blog post on Peterson's blog, the Medfield Energy Committee is recommending the town become a "Green Community" under the terms of the state's Green Community Act. The committee explains its reasoning in a letter to selectmen that Peterson shared.

4. The Medfield Farmers Market will continue on Thursdays, at least through the end of September, and will feature Ward's Berry Farm.

5. Congratulations to Rebecca Marie Lahaie Gleeson of Medfield, who graduated from James Madison University on Aug. 13. Gleeson received a degree in Clinical and School Psychology.
