Boo-Tique Seeks Gently Used Halloween Costumes

Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. Do you have a gently used Halloween costume to share? Costumes are being requested to set up a Boo-Tique at the Medfield Food Pantry. In an announcement, a volunteer posted: "This is a wonderful opportunity for the clients to "shop" for costumes on Oct. 17." Donation bins will be located at all three elementary schools in Medfield. Costumes and Halloween accessories will be collected through Oct. 15.

2. The first annual Medfield Coalition for Public Education Community Trivia Night is scheduled for Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. Teams from across town will compete for prizes at The Center at Medfield on Ice House Road. This event will be led by a “trivia jockey” provided by Stump Trivia. Come test your knowledge across an assortment of topics -- from anatomy to history, literature to movies. Teams of up to four adult players (21 and over, please) can register NOW at www.MedfieldCoalition.org. The cost is $100 per team. Proceeds from this event will be used by the MCPE to support public education in Medfield.

3. The Medfield Council on Aging is organizing a cruise to Bermuda in late May. The trip would be May 23-30 on the Norwegian Cruise Line "Dawn." Prices range from $780 to $1,240 (per person, double occupancy). A variety of shore excursions in Bermuda will be part of the agenda and are available at an additional cost. For further details, contact Roberta Lynch at the Medfield Council on Aging at 508-359-3665.
