Canman “Modern Psychedelicism” New Exhibit at Dark World Gallery

 MEDWAY, MASS. – July 26, 2011 ‐ Dark World Gallery in Worcester, MA presents Modern Psychedelicism by Canman, notable Massachusetts painter and tattooist.  The exhibition opens with an artist meet and greet from 7–10 p.m, Saturday August 4, 2012.

Canman’s signature use of bright pigments and social commentary iconography reflect the radicalism and psychedelic flavor of the 1960s and makes a bold statement that is undeniably modern. The body of work delivers a full range of experience, depicting the unknown and the knowable, the living and the dying, the hostile and the comforting, the desolate and the joyous.

"My hope for this exhibition is to engage, stimulate, and,” says Canman “visually stretch and tear at your notion of reality."

Canman is a Massachusetts-based artist and tattooist who has exhibited paintings in both the US and internationally and is presently featured in several published works.
