 sing event to help support the Medfield High School Jazz Band&rsquo\;s C
 hina music tour and cultural exchange trip this April.\nThe award-winnin
 g band is raising money to provide financial aid to band members who nee
 d it\, cover expenses related to the music tour portion of the trip (suc
 h as instrument rentals)\, and reduce other trip costs if funds are avai
 lable.\nIn addition to Lord's\, tickets for the Feb. 2 event are also av
 ailable online now through Network for Good at http://bit.ly/10tegDh.&nb
 sp\;Cost is $50 per person\, or a discounted $45 per person if a table f
 or eight is purchased (limited availability). Online convenience charges
  will apply.\nAnyone who cannot attend the event\, but would still like 
 to make a donation to the trip\, can use the Network for Good URL to mak
 e an online contribution.\nIncluded in the ticket price are two free bee
 r/wine tickets\, appetizers\, plus dessert and coffee. The night also pr
 ovides the chance to see performances by members of the MHS Jazz Band 1 
 and Music Director Doug Olsen on trumpet\, as well as an auction.\nFeatu
 red auction items so far include Taylor Swift tickets\, four prime Celti
 cs seats near the floor\, footballs autographed by various Patriots star
 s\, dinner and golf at Charles River Country Club\, a performance by mem
 bers of the MHS Jazz Band 1 for a personal event\, plus many others. (To

 association.com.)\nThe jazz band China trip features several days in Ben
 gbu\, which has hosted a student and staff exchange with Medfield Public
  Schools for the past four years. The band will share American Jazz with
  Bengbu music students\, and in return\, learn about Chinese music. The 
 band will also travel to Shanghai and Beijing for other performances and
  cultural experiences.\nAccording to Olsen\, China will be the first ove
 rseas destination for the jazz band\, and the trip will be similar to ot
 hers taken by high school jazz bands from across the country that have e
 arned recognition from prestigious competitions like Mingus\, and Essent
 ially Ellington at Lincoln Center. The Medfield jazz band earned spots i
 n both competitions last spring\, taking home awards from both.
