To celebrate Veterans' Day and culminate a day of community service, the United Church of Christ (UCC) in Medfield will host a family concert on Saturday evening, Nov. 10, featuring singer Heidi Willson and a 10-piece band performing a program of contemporary popular, jazz and patriotic songs.
Heidi Willson is a professional musician who spent 21 years in the U.S. Navy band as a singer and clarinetist; currently she leads the UCC Medfield Praise Team and teaches music at several schools in Rhode Island. At the concert she will be supported by a 10-piece band that includes several of her former Navy band-mates, as well as members of the UCC Medfield Praise Team and other Boston-area musicians.
The program includes songs recorded by Michael Buble, Louis Armstrong and Lee Greenwood, as well as songs from several Disney movies and from the UCC Praise Team's repertoire.
