Six-year old Parker, is an intelligent, well-trained, Lab/Shepard mix. She weighs about 62 pounds, is very soft and lovable. Her family loves her very much, but regretfully and tearfully gave her up because in spite of their best efforts, and the efforts of a dog trainer, she has been unable to adapt to the arrival of their son who is now a toddler.
Parker is very sweet and in spite of having her world turned upside down, she is making the most of our volunteers showering her with love and walks. Her family said she enjoyed napping in her chair, keeping an eye on the neighborhood through the window, sniffing in the backyard and her daily 30-minute walk.Though she enjoys all those things, what she loves is to eat and perform tricks for treats.
We think any home with loving people (but without very young children) would not only be good for her, but would also bring great joy to the people who adopt her.
