Aerial View of Medfield

On a cold snowy March afternoon, images of summer seem even better.

As some of you may know, there is a small field below the state hospital used specifically for flying remote control aircraft. Several clubs meet there regularly to share a passion for things that fly. Different type of planes, including gas and electric powered, vintage replicas, civilian, and even jet aircraft can be found on any given day.

As technology has advanced, so have the aircraft. Small light weight cameras such as the GoPro have made a bird’s eye view from the cockpit possible.

Here is a video of one such flight. It took place on a perfectly calm day last August at the flying field. I hope you enjoy it on this stormy afternoon!
