New Starbucks Will Look Like This
From gas station to coffee house. This is what the Starbucks would look like.
Owners of the former Mobil gas station met with members of the Zoning Board of Appeals last week to discuss plans for the property where a Starbucks Coffee Shop is expected to open in the fall.
Owner/Developer Salvatore Capital Partners plans to renovate the property at the corner of Main and North Streets, and is seeking three special permits for Zoning Bylaws:
- Section 220.127.116.11 (for establishment to sell food and drink)
- Section 8.5 (Downtown Parking District)
- Section 16.8 (Secondary Aquifer Overlay District)
Check back on Monday, March 11, for the full story including the ZBA's skeptical view of a traffic impact report that says a Starbucks will generate only 30 more car trips than the Mobil gas station did during peak hours.
