Registration is now open for the 17th annual Medfield Day 5K Road Race and 1K Fun Run/Walk which will take place on September 15.
T-shirts are guaranteed for anyone who pre-registers before September 6.
Proceeds from the race support programs sponsored by the Medfield Park and Recreation Department. Last year, 177 people participated in the race which had a fundraising goal of $5,000.
There are two races – a 5K road race and a 1K Fun Run/Walk for children.

There is an award for the first overall male and female winners, as well as a prize for the first male and female Medfield residents to cross the finish line.
Registration for the 5K is between 7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. and starts at 9 a.m. The cost is $25 on the day of the event, or $20 if pre-registered by September 14.
The 1K Fun Run/Walk is .62 miles and includes a flat loop course around North Street, Green Street, Lowell Mason Road and back to the Pfaff Center. Awards are given to each participant.
The Fun Run/Walk starts at 8:30 a.m. and the cost is $5 per person.
The event is sponsored by the MPR as well as Medfield Fitness Association, Medfield Orthopedic, and The Bulfinch Group.
