Police Logs, Dec. 14-16

Highlights from daily police and fire logs.

 

Tuesday, Dec. 14: 

10:58 a.m. – Caller reported 90-year-old woman may have been having a stroke at the senior center. The woman was taken by ambulance to Norwood Hospital.

11:23 a.m. – Man called from Milford Regional Hospital to find out where his car was towed Monday.

11:47 a.m. – 911 caller from CVS reported she misdialed. Officer verified and confirmed misdial.

12:35 p.m. – Resident at 4 Seneca reported he found a white and tan dog.

1:18 p.m. – Silent 911 call was received from Medfield High School. On call back school reported no problem that they were aware of. Officer checked school and nothing was found.

2:15 p.m. – Individual walked in to station to report a disturbance that had occurred on Kenney Road in the residence. Officer notified and report was filed.

2:33 p.m. – Jeff Sperling called from Medfield High School to report a larceny. Officer responded to take report. According to officer, suspect stole a bike valued at $1,000. Officer went to suspect's residence and reported the bike was located at Juniper Road and South Street. A second officer picked up the bike and secured it at the station. The suspect was issued summons and charged with larceny over $250.

2:52 p.m. – Freedom System reported alarm at Causeway Street. Officer responded. Alarm company called back to inform officer it was accidental by homeowner.

4:28 p.m. – Desk officer from Medway Police Department called to report he had an individual on the phone reporting his wife was just in a motor vehicle accident in front of Palumbo Liquors on 537 Main St. in Medfield. Truck reportedly ran into the back of her car. Officer requested Medfield ambulance. Officer reported scene was clear and all parties on their ways at 4:49. EMT reported there was no emergency transport required.

4:41 p.m. – Individual from Highland Lake Drive, Norfolk called from her cell phone to report she was in a motor vehicle accident in front of 58 Spring Street. Officer and EMT reported all parties were clear at 5:10 p.m. and there was no transport necessary.

6:16 p.m. – Unknown female motorist called from her cell phone to report a motor vehicle accident on High Street by Plain Street, truck was off the road. Officer requested on-duty wrecker at the scene and notified Assured Collision. Scene was cleared at 6:35 p.m. and EMT confirmed no transportation necessary at 6:38 p.m. Officer reported Assured Collision had the truck at 6:46 p.m.

9:02 p.m. – Alarm company reported alarm went off at Auto Dynamics on 69 West St. Two officers reported the building was secure. At 9:43 p.m., the owner of Auto Dynamics came into station to report he checked the inside of his building, all was in order.

Wednesday, Dec. 15: 

10:28 a.m. – Individual called to report some type of an alarm going off at 242 South St. (vacant house). Officer reported broken water pipe on first floor and requested Medfield Water Department to turn off water to house from the street. Fire Chief William Kingsbury was on scene and requested NStar on scene to pull the electric meter from the house, killing the power. At 11:21 a.m. house was clear and NStar cut power.

2:32 p.m. – Individual on Stagecoach Road came into station and requested to speak with officer about past assault. An officer spoke with individual.

3:48 p.m. – Caller reported a bag of trash in the road. Officer responded and cleared road.

4:42 p.m. – Caller reported malfunction with the railroad gate on South Street. Gate was going up and down, nothing was on the tracks. CSX notified.

6:44 p.m. – Woman reported she hit a cat on High Street, near Granite Street. She took it to Walpole Veterinarian.

11:06 p.m. – Worker at Friendly's on Main Street reported restaurant has broken window, it was done accidentally and just wanted to inform police department.

6:33 a.m. – Caller from Laurel Drive reported she heard five gunshots in a row in the Laurel Drive area. Multiple calls on this report. Two officers reported and checked area. All was clear when officers arrived.

7:25 a.m. – Caller from Flint Locke Lane reported water in the road in front of 57 Flint Locke Lane that is turning into ice. Officer reported there was ice on the road at Flint Locke Lane and Green Street. Officer requested a sand truck to location. Cause of water was from homeowner at 57 Flint Locke Lane pumping water from her basement down her driveway. She turned off pump when notified and Medfield Highway Department sanded the streets.
