Police Log: OUI at High School and OUI Hits Planters
Here is a look at the police logs for Dec. 5 and Dec. 6.
Wednesday, Dec. 5
5:06 a.m., Main Street. Alarm company reported an alarm at Bank of America. Cars clear, bank secure, ATM out of order.
7:10 a.m., 2:10 p.m., Pound Street and Robert Sproul Road. Police helping at school crossing.
7:32 a.m., South Street. E911 hangup from high school. Police spoke with high school, no one knows what happened.
10:38 a.m., Main Street. Caller requested an ambulance in front of the library for a woman who fell on the sidewalk and may have a small cut. Medfield Fire said no transport.
11:54 a.m., Carmen Circle. Walk-in report from resident who said someone is forwarding his mail to Florida. He will file a report at the post office.
4:02 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported a tractor trailer double parked in front of Lord's. Owner said driver can use back parking lot.
4:17 p.m., Main Street. Caller requested an ambulance at the Thomas Upham House for a teenage worker who had fallen and struck their head. Medfield Fire transported to Norwood Hospital.
5:19 p.m., Janes Avenue. Department received cancellation of a restraining order from the State of Connecticut.
Thursday, Dec. 6
1:28 a.m., North Street. Dover Police had a call from an off-duty Needham officer regarding a car "all over the road." Dover Police are behind this car coming into Medfield. Police spoke with the driver who was a nurse and was tired; no problem.
7:15 a.m., 2:11 p.m., Pound Street and Robert Sproul Road. Police helping at school crossing.
7:44 a.m., Pound Street. Officer O'Neil reports he is out with a car in the high school parking lot; at 8 a.m., he reports he has one under arrest. Michael Joseph Collins, 17, of Medfield was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs, and having a firearm without a federal identification card, OC Spray (aka pepper spray).
10:40 a.m., Main Street. Alarm company reported an alarm at Bank of America. It was accidental.
11:58 a.m., North Street. Caller reported a motor vehicle accident in front of North Street Market with property damage.
3:39 p.m., Donnelly Drive. Caller said her child came home from school to find a moving van removing furniture from their house. A passerby interrupted the movers and they left saying they had delivered the furniture in error and were removing it. Caller states there have been issues in the past with deliveries intended for a different Donnelly Drive address in Dover. Caller is trying to contact the passerby to see if they can identify the moving company.
9:08 p.m., High Street. Caller reports a motor vehicle accident with property damage; a pickup truck hit planters at South Street Extension, then pulled over on Granite Street to inspect his vehicle. At 9:38 p.m., the driver was brought back to the station. At 10:50 p.m., Medfield Fire was called regarding possible seizure. At 11:27 p.m., Medfield Fire took the man to Norwood Hospital.
The driver, Jonathon Cook, 23, of Natick, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, operating under the influence of drugs, and leaving the scene of property damage.
