Patch Passport: A Little Bit of Paradise at Holistic Wellness Center

Thursday's Patch Passport shows you a Little Bit of Paradise. This is a local place where you can feel like you are a million miles away from the daily stress of life, without having to go far from home. Come along and relax ...

Nancy D’Antonio likes to treat herself to a massage once in a while.

“The key is not to be afraid,” said D’Antonio of Millis on a recent trip to the Holistic Wellness Center at 67 West St. in Medfield.  “My daughter found a coupon online and my other daughter, who is visiting from Delaware for my birthday and I decided to treat ourselves.”

“It was a lovely experience; it was wonderful,” she said after a recent massage with Richard.

The Holistic Wellness Center offers many services including acupuncture, Reiki, and different types of massage, including Swedish, deep tissue, therapeutic (a combination of Swedish and deep tissue), Hawaiian hot stone, reflexology, and couples massage.

They also offer yoga, dance, and health and nutrition coaching.

“This is an escape out of the pressures of life whether you’re an at-home mom or trying to juggle work and everything else, this is a peaceful retreat without being a spa,” said Lisa Biagetti, co-owner and Reiki Master.

Of their many services, the therapeutic massage and Reiki are two of the most popular.

“Therapeutic massage concentrates on areas that hold the most stress such as the neck, shoulders, and back,” she said. “The main focus is to help bring peace and calmness so your body can naturally heal.

“Reiki is taking the universe’s energy and bringing it into the client so that it brings them peace and balance, and allows their natural energy to flow evenly through their body.”
