A guard yelled out to us that the run had ended and to go in the other direction out of Boston.
Nobody's cell phones worked. Many people, including me, started walking toward the Longwood medical area-- walking several more miles after almost completing the marathon. It was incredibly chaotic.

A random stranger gave me a sweatshirt. A BAA volunteer who lived in Newton gave me and another runner a ride home.
I finally got home several hours after the race ended.
This was Einbinder's third timing running the Boston Marathon.
