Edward G. Zarrella, 66, of Chicago, Illinois, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at his home. He was born Oct. 2, 1945, in Brockton.

Ed was a graduate of Stonehill College in North Easton in 1967, receiving a BA in mathematics. Ed was an insurance underwriter in the Chicagoland area since 1968.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maureen; three children, Aedan (Kata Antman) Zarrella of Borgo, Finland; Maryanne Zarrella of Olympia, Washington; and Dina (Scott) Kastner of Alexandria, Va.; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Malin Antman; a sister, Carol Shearing of Medfield, Mass.; and a brother, Joseph Zarrella of Brockton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eunice Zarrella.
