MEDFIELD – Dover-Sherborn beat rival Medfield Thursday morning, 14-8, at Medfield High School, giving the Raiders their third Thanksgiving Day win in a row over the Warriors.

Medfield was plagued by turnovers throughout the game, giving up the ball on both their first and last possessions of the game.

The Warriors only touchdown came in the first quarter on a 60-yard pass to wide receiver Tim Bernard from quarterback Alex Opiela.

The Raiders first touchdown also came in the first quarter when quarterback Rogers Boylan rushed the ball up the middle from the 1-yard line.

The difference came in the fourth quarter when Boylan threw a touchdown pass to wide receiver Steve Alessandro to give D-S the 14-8 lead.

Medfield had a chance to get back into the game but Opiela threw two interceptions in the final six minutes of the fourth quarter, including one on their final offensive play to Raiders' defensive lineman Aaron Oberst.

The game was the 46th meeting between the two teams on Thanksgiving. Medfield has the advantage with a 24-18-4 record against the Raiders on Turkey Day.
