Update (3:53 p.m., April 30): Three Medfield Lions, including president Steve Kramer have confirmed with Medfield Patch that the organization will not be holding its annual Mother's Day pancake breakfast at the American Legion Hall this year. Kramer cites a substantial decrease in attendance as the main reason for cancelling the breakfast and says the Lions will instead organize a series of other events.
"We decided this year to devote the resources [used for the pancake breakfast] to other events in the spring, which will benefit the community and charities we support," Kramer said.
I will provide the link to this story once I have contacted Kramer for more comment.
