5 Things for the Weekend: Father's Day, BBQ and Concert

Here's a look at the weekend ahead for June 16-17.

 

Weekend Forecast: Saturday's weather, according to the National Weather Service based in Taunton, calls for mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Northeast wind between 6 and 10 mph. Saturday Night: Patchy fog between midnight and 2 a.m., then Patchy fog after 5 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. East wind around 6 mph becoming calm. Sunday: Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 71. East wind between 3 and 8 mph. Sunday Night: Patchy fog after 2 a.m. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 50. Southeast wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm. 

Weekend Events in the Area:

Medfield Fire Department's Annual Chicken BBQ: The Medfield Firefighters Relief Association will be holding their annual chicken barbeque Saturday at the Fire Station on North Street starting at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. On the menu is a half chicken for $ and a quarter chicken for $5. Tickets are available from any firefighter, at the station or at the door. For more information call (508) 359-2323.

Marimba Concert at Blue Moon: Get Father’s Day off to a great start with coffee, bagels, and Shona–style Marimba music on Sunday at 11 a.m.. The Ngoma Dzakanaka Marimba Bands, made up of fourth and sixth grade Medfield kids, will be playing for your listening pleasure.
