We Did It For You! Women's Journey Through History at First Parish Medfield

We Did It For You! A Women's Journey Through History is a play-reading service coming to Medfield's First Parish Unitarian-Universalist Church Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 10:00 am.

There was a time when women had no rights in America.  This is the story of how it changed, told by the women who were there.  We DId It For You! is a quick tour through history starting with the struggle women had in the 17th c. Puritan Revolution through to our 21st century.  This amazing play has been touring California for the last two years and is now coming to Medfield.  Learn about women's contribution to history in a creative, innovative and experiential way through narrative and song.  The musical is a call to action through a tour of the past and a wonderful way to help generate awareness and start conversations. See www.wediditforyou.org for more information about the play.

The service begins at 10 am.  The First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church is located near the center of Medfield, at 26 North Street, next to Meetinghouse Pond. It serves residents of Medfield, Millis, Medway, Walpole, Norfolk, and surrounding towns.  Child care is available, and there is an active religious education program for children 5-14.

The church especially welcome explorers interested in learning more about the UU principles and values, two of which are the inherent worth and dignity of every person; and  justice, equity and compassion in human relations.  The church is a Welcoming Congregation.  Phone: 508-359-4594.
