The Medfield Cultural Council is now accepting grants from organizations, schools, and individuals to support cultural activities in the community. The postmark deadline is October 15, 2012 to the Town Hall.

Grants can support a variety of artistic projects and activities in Medfield -- including exhibits, festivals, field trips, short-term artist residencies or performances in schools, workshops, and lectures. Priorities are to fund cultural organizations in town and projects that directly serve Medfield residents. The Council also likes to fund a full spectrum of activities from music and drama to dance and visual arts. 

This year, the Medfield Cultural Council will distribute about $ 3,870 in grants. A few previously funded projects include: Jazz Nights, Marimba Band, in school holiday concerts, the Medfield Farmer’s Market, Vine Lake Cemetery walking tour map, summer Shakespeare by the Gazebo Players, and a costume and music of the civil war era event at the Dwight Derby House.
