Medfield, MA, September 17, 2012 -- Local Alterative Medicine Practitioner, teacher, and cable TV host, Helen Chin Lui, celebrated her 6th-Year milestone as a small business owner in Medfield on September 6, 2012.

Current and past clients of the Healing Place sent congratulations and thanks for helping them to feel better when traditional medicine did not help completely. A wellness and healing education center incorporating Reflexology, Energy Medicine, and Reiki, The Healing Place helps clients improve or eliminate a variety of chronic and acute conditions from pain to stress to digestive disturbances, which is her specialty.

“It has been such an honor for me to help so many people in need,” commented Ms. Lui. “Starting a healing business in 2006 was not an easy feat. Many people didn’t know what Reflexology or Reiki was and how it can help them.”

According to ehow.com, in 2012, up to 90-95% of new businesses fail the first year.  And of the remaining 5-10%, only half of those businesses make it to the 5-year mark. For Ms. Lui, making it another year past this 5-year mark has demonstrated not only her tenacity and business smarts, but also that more people are seeking alternative ways to heal.

“I love teaching people how they can tap into their own ability to heal their bodies through the magic touch of Reflexology.” Reflexology is a non-invasive technique involving gentle touch to stimulate organ, gland, and tissue responses that helps trigger the body’s own innate ability to heal. People often also report experiencing a greater sense of connection with the body and spirit. Many clients have expressed gratitude to have a local resource like Ms. Lui that they can easily connect and work with.

In addition to offering healing services where so many people have found relief from their struggle, pain, and embarrassment, Ms Lui teaches energy healing classes at her office in Medfield and at Tri Valley Regional High School in Franklin, MA and Joseph Keefe Regional Technical School in Framingham. She also hosts an educational cable TV show, Holistic Healing, where she talks to experts in various energy healing modalities about their work.

She is in the process of developing a line of self-help, Reflexology DVDs to help individuals learn to do reflexology for themselves at home. 

Ms. Lui is a member of the Massachusetts Reflexology Association and Reflexology Association of America, as well as an active member of the Dream Factory, a community, networking group in Medway, Massachusetts.
